Bourne Identity
Firstly, I had a news from my friend who once told me, "Hey bud, you should get to read Ludlum's ones. I heard that he did more fascinated than that American did," said him on a personal chat. "Who are you talking about?" i replied just didn't know exactly what he means. "Tom Clancy of course!" Clancy, if you didn't heard before, is a great novel author on espionage and CIA's stuffs with favourite cast, Jack Ryan.
Next, it happened on last August, at that time I walk around my knees looking next-coming motion comes to be playing on Jakarta's local cinema. I remember enough when i stop by at Bourne Identity poster, impressed with its stars: Matt Damon and Franka Potente (a Germany girl with her best performace Run, Lola Run), and, luckily i read its castlist that showed my previous attention, ROBERT LUDLUM. Without any doubt, I made a curse, "When it comes, i should pay to watch this damn good things!"
Last week, the film came to Jakarta, of course I had it. It's a story about a CIA's superspy who had failed his job, a hunter that happened to be hunted. Wake up on insomnia, he know nothing about himself, he just knew that he could did any superwork including: talk in 6 foreign languages, fighting, and some unusual skills who had appeared instantly. The next story is, his finding through his identity and life.
Differently with Spy Game, another movie I ever seen that based on espionage, this film run on old fashioned settings. The CIA office seem needing more technology upgrade than in the folllowing later. For my personal comment, Potente had a great job playing her cast as Marie Kreutz, a Germany "gypsy" who accidentaly got to help Bourne to run from his hunted life. Last word to say I should recommend you, "This is a must see movie!" It's damn great!
